Can-Can you do the Pecan?

You have to say pecan like they do in the south in order for that to rhyme: pee-can. I still say puh-kahn though.

However you want to say it, we have 'em.

We've collected two and a half of these buckets already! I just won a bid on a pecan nut cracker on ebay so we can get crack-a-lackin!

  1. Susan is doing all the hard work shelling them. You've got so many so I know you'll be making pecan pies for Thanksgiving. Delicious. Love, Mom

  2. You'll be cracking forever! I can't believe you have so many - lucky.

  3. and to think I just spent $10.00 for a bag of pecans (puhkahns) at Sam's...I'm so jealous!

  4. We got a ton, too! I posted about them a couple posts ago. Any specific plans for yours?

  5. we made banana nut bread this past weekend and I have 11 pecan trees in my backyard, so we got some and used those!!! :) saved me 10 bucks. I say puhh-kan:)

  6. I'm only anonymous becasue I'm not sure how to do this but I love your home and have enjoyed watching your progress. With all those pecans I wanted to share my no fail super easy pecan pie recipe.
